Build Student Belonging and Your Personal Library
Lee & Low Books is the largest publisher of multicultural children's literature in the United States. Cultured Kids is proudly partnering with them to build our annual book collections for donors. When you give to us, you also support under-represented authors and stories in children's literature.

Want a new book mailed monthly to your home? Join other donors who are making an impact at $100 or more a month.

Why Give?

Our children are facing a mental health crisis and our schools are limited in what they can provide. They need our help!

The American School Counselors Association recommends 1 counselor to every 250 students. This meager ratio is unmet in most states.

An increase in sense of belonging can support student mental health and wellbeing while also decreasing: prejudice, bullying, isolation, loneliness, academic struggles, and gun violence in schools.

We create programs to enhance authentic belonging and school unity! We work with school counselors, school leaders, and educators to create truly inclusive communities.

Maurice Sendak is a globally acclaimed children's book author. Sendak endured trauma as a child, struggled with inauthentic belonging, and worked to accept the validity of his emotions. "Where The Wild Things Are" exemplifies his efforts to help children understand, accept, and master their own emotions.

Children's literature is foundational to who we are. "Where The Wild Things Are" aligns well with our desire to help children navigate the wild rumpus within themselves, their schools, and the world.

"When students belong, they thrive in school. Cultured Kids does the important work to create that sense of belonging for every student. " Danny Bauer, Chief Ruckus Maker at Better Leaders Better Schools

King of All Wild Things

Sendak shares, "...the king of all wild things was lonely and wanted to be where someone loved him best of all." Kings of All Wild Things are supporting school-wide efforts to create truly inclusive communities that love their students and boast authentic belonging.
